11 locations open their doors to bring nature and adventure together<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apeldoorn, March 3, 2025<\/strong> - Spring is just around the corner: the days are getting longer, the sun is showing up more often, and it's time to get outside! Saturday 5 April 2025 marks the third edition of National Climbing Forest Day. On this day, 11 climbing forests across the country join forces to festively usher in the climbing season and draw attention to the importance of a green and wooded world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a fixed ticket price of \u20ac18 for everyone, National Climbing Forest Day offers a unique adventure in nature. Moreover, \u20ac1 from every ticket sold is donated to Trees for All, an organisation that plants trees and works to preserve forests worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An adventure for young and old<\/strong>
National Klimbos Day was launched in 2023 with the aim of connecting more people with nature in a playful way. Climbing among trees, ziplining and braving challenging courses not only offers a unique adrenaline experience, but also reinforces the mental and physical benefits of spending time in greenery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"The combination of sports, adventure and nature provides a boost in both energy and happiness. In addition, it is the perfect place to push boundaries,\"<\/em> says Simone Dijkhuis of Klimbos Netherlands, organiser of the day. \"We are extremely happy to have 11 sites participating this year. This shows that together with our visitors, we can make a difference to both people and nature.\"<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stronger together: climbing for a good cause<\/strong>
The collaboration with Trees for All underlines National Climbing Day's commitment to also give something back to nature. For every ticket sold, 1 euro is donated to the charity, which will be used to plant new trees in the Netherlands and abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
