Can you bring your own climbing harness?

5 January 2026

Many visitors wonder if they are allowed to use their own climbing harness when they come to climb in the climbing forest. The short and clear answer is: no. In our climbing forest, you are not allowed to bring your own climbing harness. This has everything to do with safety and ensuring a reliable and uniform climbing experience for everyone.

Our climbing belts are specially selected, regularly checked and matched to the courses and fuse systems we use. During mandatory instruction, our staff explain exactly how the harness works and how to climb safely. When everyone uses the same equipment, we can apply the guidelines consistently and minimise risks.

Using your own equipment is therefore not within our regulations. We cannot guarantee that a personal climbing harness will meet our safety standards or be compatible with our systems. By sticking to these guidelines, we ensure that everyone, young and old, can climb with peace of mind and fully enjoy the adventure in the climbing forest.

Each of the locations is unique, but one thing they have in common is the beautiful surroundings.

All our climbing forests are located in real forests, where we do not use climbing poles. This gives you the best climbing experience! We build and maintain the routes ourselves and they are inspected externally for safety. Our staff is trained to give safety instructions and to give you the best experience. A day you will never forget!
