Klimbos Dordrecht is celebrating its fifth anniversary, and it was a grand affair today. During this festive day, in the presence of guests and staff, the completely renovated climbing route Oranje 3 was also officially opened by alderwoman Tanja de Jonge.

Since its opening, Klimbos Dordrecht has developed into a popular place for adventure in nature. What started as an ambitious project by directors Ciaran Barsema and Rodrick de Wolff grew into a fixture in the region. Five years later, visitors from Dordrecht and far beyond know where to find the climbing forest for an active day out.
Councillor Tanja de Jonge emphasises the importance of the climate forest for the city:
“Klimbos Dordrecht is a wonderful addition to our city. It uniquely combines recreation, nature experience, and physical activity, attracting a wide audience. It's great to see how this place has become so important to both residents and visitors of Dordrecht in just five years.”
Director Rodrick de Wolff also looks back with pride on the past few years:
“It's wonderful to see how popular Klimbos Dordrecht has become. For five years now, we've been providing people with an adventurous and active day out in nature. It continues to be special to do, and we look forward to welcoming many more visitors.”
The anniversary celebration will receive an extra festive touch with the reopening of climbing route Oranje 3. This route was closed recently to be fully renovated and modernised. With new elements and challenges, the route offers a fresh climbing experience for visitors once again.
