As day manager, you are in charge at the site. You ensure that all employees know what is expected of them that day and are ultimately responsible for choices that have to be made. You are also solution-oriented and flexible, as a day is never the same at the Klimbos.
Klimbos Assen is currently under construction and will open in April 2026.
When you arrive on site, you'll get to work making a daily schedule. You also direct your colleagues that the climbing routes may be climbed before the morning check. Furthermore, you make sure the day runs smoothly, with the main goal: satisfied guests!
Your team takes care of reception at the cash desk, safety instruction and supervision under the routes. You and your team help guests where necessary, answer questions, coach guests through the routes and monitor compliance with (safety) rules. Of course, there is also plenty of time for a chat with the guests! After a great climbing day, it is your responsibility to make sure the site is tidy and ready for another day.
In the case of new employees and/or trainees, you ensure proper training. And if there are emergencies, you'll be in charge! But don't worry, we will teach you everything! Your supervisor is the location manager, together you also have regular consultations.
Naturally, you are hospitable, friendly and enjoy helping others! In addition, you are not afraid to take responsibility and make sure your team offers guests a great experience. You love being outdoors, leading and varied work.
As a day manager, you will receive extensive in-house training on your working days and when you are ready, you will run the day on your own.
Since the climbing forest is a leisure outing, working on weekends and holidays is part of it.
As working in a Klimbos requires flexibility, you will be given a one-year on-call contract for a minimum of 16 hours a week. You will work at different times, depending on the opening hours and any groups in the forest. The hourly wage you can expect is €15.12 from 21 years or older.

For this position, we are looking for employees with at least MBO working and thinking level 4, preferably with an education in outdoor sports or a strong affinity with this.

Before the guests arrive, you climb all the climbing routes to do the morning check. Then, when the climbers arrive, they are welcomed at the cash desk of Climbing Forest Bergen op Zoom. You make sure everyone can start climbing safely. You gather all climbers, cross the road with them towards the climbing forest and then help put on the climbing harnesses and give instruction to small groups of guests. After the guests have shown they have understood the instruction, you send them into the forest to climb independently.
Besides giving instruction, you will supervise in the forest, helping guests where necessary. You also monitor compliance with (safety) rules.
Naturally, you are customer-friendly and enjoy helping others! In addition, you are not afraid to take responsibility and make sure the guests have a great time climbing. As an instructor, you will first receive extensive in-house training and when you are ready, you will stand alone in front of the group of guests.

You help guests where necessary, answer questions, coach the guests through the routes and make sure (safety) rules are observed. Of course, there will also be plenty of time for a chat with the guests!
