Construction of sixth Klimbos Nederland site starts after summer
Climbing enthusiasts from the north of the Netherlands can look forward to a brand new climbing experience! Klimbos Nederland is proud to announce the arrival of Klimbos Assen. Construction will start after the summer and this location will open its doors to the public in April 2026. This will be Klimbos Nederland's sixth climbing location and will offer visitors a challenging day out with as many as seven different climbing routes.
Expansion of the successful concept
Klimbos Netherlands' climbing locations have long been a popular destination for families, groups of friends, schools and companies looking for an active outdoor experience. The addition of Klimbos Assen further extends the success story and gives visitors a new, unique opportunity to push their limits.
"We are always looking for great locations for possible expansion. The area near the Baggelhuizerplas in Assen is perfect for this," said Ciaran Barsema, director of Klimbos Nederland. Co-director Rodrick de Wolff adds: "On this over 2.5-hectare site, there are plenty of trees in which we can build challenging climbing routes. We will start construction after the summer so that we can open our doors in April 2026."
