What is the grey route?

The grey route is completely different from other routes! It consists of two spectacular elements:

  1. Bungee: Horizontal ‘bouncing’ through the air
  2. Free fall: Short fall with controlled descent

The Bungee

How does the bungee climbing forest work? Roughly speaking, you can explain the route as follows:

  1. Climb to the platform first
  2. Connect the extra carabiner and hook
  3. Step or jump off the platform
  4. Fly through the air
  5. Land in the rope net
  6. Climb down

The Free Fall

How does free fall climbing forest work? You can describe the route as follows:

  1. Climb to the platform
  2. Connect the extra carabiner and hook
  3. Step off platform
  4. Experience free fall
  5. The system brakes gradually
  6. Descend gently to the ground

Who gets to do the grey route?

The route is not open to everyone. You must be at least 11 years old, at least 1.40m tall and unafraid. If you want to do the grey route, prepare well:

  • Prepare mentally and think positively
  • Listen carefully during extra instruction
  • Ask questions if you have any
  • Don't dwell too long on the platform
  • Have confidence in the security system
  • ENJOY!

In the bungee, you jump off a platform and bounce horizontally through the air to a rope net. Free fall gives you a short, intense drop with controlled descent. Both parts are safe but give an intense feeling of excitement and freedom. Participation is possible from 11 years and 1.40 metres. Available in Apeldoorn, Bergen op Zoom, Lage Vuursche and Ruurlo.
