21 April 2023
This year Klimbos Brabantse Wal celebrates its 10th anniversary, which was celebrated on 21 April. Under the watchful eye of guests and Klimbos staff, the blue climbing route was also festively reopened by councillor Letty Demmers.
In 2013, Klimbos Brabantse Wal was opened in Bergen op Zoom. Then-owners Jip Peper and Hans-Peter Baars found a great location for a new climbing forest. And it still turns out to be successful! Because 10 years later, the Klimbos is still there and many guests know how to find and experience it every year. Alderman Demmers also agrees: "The Klimbos proves to be a great addition to the recreational offer in Bergen op Zoom and is rightfully an asset to Bergen op Zoom. What I like is that it attracts many visitors of different ages from the region and beyond and that people come back. The Klimbos really contributes to the BeLiveCity that we are."
The anniversary celebration was made extra festive as the blue climbing route was also reopened. Director Rodrick de Wolff recounts: "Every year we critically review all the climbing routes. Climbing route blue was in need of a major update and we have done that." Site manager Ashley Godeschalk adds: "He's really cool and totally up to date again!"
Klimbos Brabantse Wal is part of Klimbos Nederland with a total of 5 locations, namely Klimbos Achterhoek, Klimbos Brabantse Wal, Klimbos Dordrecht, Klimbos Gooi-Eemland and Klimbos Veluwe. Each Klimbos has different routes offering 3 hours of climbing fun for young and old.
