In partnership with Nationaal Fonds Kinderhulp, Klimbos Nederland provides free climbing tickets for children for whom an outing is not a given
Climbing is cool and should be possible for everyone, not just families and children who can afford it financially. That's the thinking that Klimbos Netherlands had. That's why they partnered with Kinderhulp to offer climbing trips to families who are financially disadvantaged.
More and more families live with limited financial resources, with outings often fading into the background. But how nice is it to still have an opportunity to have a day out and enjoy a carefree time! Klimbos Netherlands realises that climbing in the Klimbos is not for everyone. Director Ciaran Barsema says: "We see how much people enjoy an outing to the Klimbos. And we want to make that possible for more people. "
A collaboration with Children's Aid has been launched. They have insight into which families can get some relief with this. This way, the organisations can together donate beautiful outings and children's parties to the children who really need it.
"What a wonderful prospect, climbing with your family or your friends, in your neighbourhood. An outing is not a given for children in the Netherlands. Especially not for children living in families with money worries. Thank you Klimbos Netherlands, for allowing us to surprise children via Nationaal Fonds Kinderhulp", said Jacqueline Kremer, head of spending at Children's Aid.
