A little while ago, we received a delightful story that had been sent in about a company that organised their team outing at the Adventure Park. We were eager to share this experience!

During our visit to Klimbos Nederland in Apeldoorn, one of the most popular climbing locations in the Netherlands, our team experienced a day that they will remember for a long time. Surrounded by forest and fresh air, we literally stepped out of our comfort zones. What started as a team outing soon grew into a day full of challenges, collaboration, and unexpected highlights, both figuratively and literally!

From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was immediately good. The instructors were ready with clear safety explanations, the guidance was professional and the wooded surroundings were immediately impressive. We climbed to ever-increasing heights using rope ladders, zip lines and suspension bridges. For some colleagues, a thrilling step outside their comfort zone, for others a welcome opportunity to push boundaries. It was precisely this mix that made the team building so valuable: everyone participated at their own level, always with the support of the team around them.

What really sets a company outing at Klimbos Nederland apart from other activities is the combination of action and connection. High up in the trees (literally above the daily grind), spontaneous moments of trust and collaboration emerged. Colleagues who normally sit behind a desk visibly grew in self-confidence. The effect on team dynamics was immediately noticeable: more openness, more energy, and lots of laughter.

A colleague put it beautifully afterwards during the barbecue: she never thought she would dare to, but thanks to the team, she still took to the trees. She called it one of the most fun things we've done together. That feeling was widely shared. Overcoming a challenge together has a lasting effect, even back in the workplace.
