Of course, we can tell you ourselves how much fun climbing is, but it's even more fun to hear how guests experience it. Here are the experiences of Lori and Sanne, both 17 years old, who went climbing at Klimbos Veluwe.
Lori: "Yesterday, Sanne and I went climbing at the Klimbos Apeldoorn. The area where the climbing forest is located is really super beautiful. We put our bags away in a locker and at half past one we were instructed how to secure ourselves and how the ropes work. When we finished that, we were allowed to choose which routes we wanted to do. To start with, we did the green route. It is a fairly easy route that is only 5 metres high. Then we started the red route. That one is a bit more difficult. We also did the brown/tokkel route, where you first have to climb up a long way and then zip down. Super fun! After a break, we decided to climb the black route, which is the toughest and highest route (18 metres). I found this one difficult at times, but definitely doable. I really liked the sure and rope system. It I not complicated to use so I didn't have to worry about whether I was doing it wrong. Sanne did the freefall last. Then it was time and we were both tired too."
Sanne: "Last Wednesday, 11 May, I went climbing at the Veluwe climbing forest. Upon arrival, everything was briefly explained where to wait for the instructor and we were given a strap and locker key for any gear you had with you.
During the explanation, you were well helped and checked by the instructor. It was also repeated once more to put your phone and the like in your locker. It was also mentioned one more time to tie up your long hair for safety.
After we did the practice route, it was time for the real thing. We did the green, red, brown and black routes. It wasn't much because it was quite busy, which was a bit less but otherwise it was a lot of fun. You could choose when you wanted to take a break if necessary so that was very nice. I also did the free fall, which was quite high. No less than 18 metres! But I did get off, it was a bit exciting but everything went well further😊"
