What happens at the Klimbos in winter?

28 November 2023

From February to November, we are busy every day to give our climbers a great outing. We are also working on this in winter, but in a completely different way. But what actually happens during winter closure?

Construction and renovation of climbing routes
During the winter closure, our builders are very busy! All climbing routes in need of maintenance are renewed. And also new elements are developed and hung in the tree. A super tough job, but with the aim of giving climbers a great forest again!

Back office
We want to make booking an adventure in our climbing forest as easy as possible for our guests. Therefore, during the winter closure, we pay a lot of attention to updating and improving our booking system and any changes are made. Opening hours and prices are also set and packages are all rigged in cooperation with our partners.

New year, new printing
Although our house style remains the same for now, we do produce new leaflets and other promotional materials every year. We also replace signs in the forests that are in need of renewal. Any route that is modified by the builders, for instance, must of course also be right in the maps. Work to be done!

Actions and collaborations
We want to be able to offer the best and most fun outing to many audiences. This includes fun actions and collaborations. The winter period is the perfect time to set things in motion and develop new initiatives.

Colleague search
Besides the fact that the forests all have to look tiptop, everything in the back office has to be arranged and the promotional materials have to be ready, there is another very important item that comes into play during the winter period. We need to have enough colleagues to give our climbers a great day. That is why we are actually looking for staff all year round who like varied work, are hospitable and love being outdoors. Vacancies can be found on our site.

Choose a location

Each of the locations is unique, but one thing they have in common is the beautiful surroundings.

All our climbing forests are located in real forests, where we do not use climbing poles. This gives you the best climbing experience! We build and maintain the routes ourselves and they are inspected externally for safety. Our staff is trained to give safety instructions and to give you the best experience. A day you will never forget!
