Climbing in the climbing forest: a safe adventure!
Visiting a climbing forest guarantees adventure, fun and pushing your limits. But to enjoy carefree climbing and the challenging courses, safety always comes first. We still sometimes get the question: is climbing actually safe? In this article, we will show you what measures we take to make your climbing forest experience not only exciting, but also 100% safe.
The Morning Check: A Flying Start
Every morning before the first visitors arrive, our staff perform a comprehensive check of all routes and elements. This involves checking whether the ropes, cables, fuses and platforms are still in perfect condition. The check is not only visual, but also practical: employees climb some routes to experience for themselves that everything is functioning properly. This daily routine ensures that our climbers can start their adventure with peace of mind. Should a problem do emerge, we immediately close this route and let our maintenance colleagues fix it again.
Safety instruction: a good start is half the battle
Before you are allowed to enter the climbing routes independently, your adventure starts with a mandatory safety briefing. Our experienced instructors explain exactly how to use your hook and how to safely secure yourself during ziplines in the routes. Conduct rules are also named, such as how many climbers are allowed on a platform or element at a time.
After this instruction, you get the chance to put what you have learned into practice on a demo route. Only when our instructors see that you have mastered all the techniques will you be allowed to embark on the real adventure.
Supervision: a double check
Of course, we won't leave you all alone afterwards. There is always supervision in the forest. The colleagues walk around and check whether everyone is climbing properly and whether help can be offered somewhere. Should anyone encounter any problems, they can coach them. So, for example, they can indicate how to turn the hook, how best to fly a certain element and if it is really necessary, they can call in the help of an intervention worker. This colleague is specially trained to go into the trees and get to the ground safely together with the climber. This may be by climbing with a climber, or by removing the person from the route on the spot.
High-quality material: only the best
In the climbing forest, we use only certified and high-quality climbing equipment. From the belts and hooks to the fuse systems, everything is carefully selected and regularly checked periodically. The materials are not only reliable, but also comfortable so you can climb and move without discomfort.
Our continuous securing system ensures that you remain continuously secured and can never accidentally become disconnected. So you can enjoy your adventure with confidence, even at high altitudes.
Safe and Unforgettable Climbing Fun
Safety in the climbing forest is our top priority, so you can fully focus on the adventure and fun. With daily checks, comprehensive safety instructions, regular inspections and the best equipment, we ensure that your experience will be carefree and unforgettable.
So put on your sporty clothes, listen carefully to the instructions and dare to push your limits. We provide the safety, you provide the adventure!
Will we see you among the treetops soon?
